Swamy Vivekananda spent about two years of his life in various parts of Chhattisgarh. State government has also received several other suggestions such as Rajiv Gandhi, Madhya Pradesh's former CM late- Shyam Charan Shukl and freedom fighter Narayan Singh.

Forms for the All India Pre-Medical Test(AIPMT) are not yet available in Raipur city. As per rule, forms will be available at Canara Bank branches only. This year the forms were to be available since November, but the bank officials are still clueless about form availability. AIPMT is due in April 2012. And form should have already been submitted. CBSE website has no such information related to delay of form in Raipur, and this has created confusion among students. Hopefully CBSE will look into this matter and try to get the forms as soon as possible.

NIT Raipur is organising alumni meet on December 24, 2011. Over 1000 alumni are expected to come with their families. More than 500 final year students would also take part in it.
