American Model To Replace The Present Three-Year Degree Mumbai: The three-year BSc course will soon be phased out and replaced by the American model of a fouryear programme in which students will receive common grounding in all subjects of science in the first year, followed by specialisation in their area of interest, with the flexibility to choose electives.

Raipur, Sep 5 : A district court here took up hearing of a murder case through video conferencing for the first time minutes after an e-court system was introduced in Chhattisgarh. Under-trial murder accused Abdul Moin Khan was produced in the e-court Tuesday at Raipur central jail. The police then urged the chief judicial magistrate through video conferencing that they needed more time to complete the investigation into the murder charges against Khan. The court then set Sep 14 as the next date of hearing.

The industry growth in dollar terms was at 30 per cent.

Damauli, May 23: Three hydropower project has been launched in Firfire and Raipur Village Development Committee of Tanhun district from Kyangdi River. Among the three power projects, Kygandi first generates 15 KW, Kyangdi second 12 and Kyagandi third 6 kilowatt, said energy advisor of the rural energy development branch, Nitesh Joshi. The total cost of the project is estimated to be around 46 hundred thousand and have benefited 1,715 residents of 343 households of two VDCs after the construction of project. Villagers are happy to have electricity generated from the project.
